Hi all.
I have just moved home and had my vermin installed, but am having trouble with my solo2 with sundtek usb tuner.
The vermin installer stuck a 10 db attentuator on the cable into the router, which I then split, one end into router, one into sundtek dvb-c tuner.
I had a picture, but now it has started pixelating and finally it has disappeared altogether. should the atttentuator be put in after the splitter so it is only going into the router, or should i remove it altogether?
I have checked all my cabling which looks fine, so I guess it is something to do with signal levels, hopefully something to do with the attentuator.

attenuator is to lower down high signal issue as you know,would think if you added a splitter it would need to be added to box side and not router side,try with and without it fitted,no idea if you can see signal and quality readings?

A splitter loses about 3db per port so remove the attenuator and see where you go from there. I left my attenuator on the router but removed the one from the tv side when i put a splitter on it and dont get any problems on official vm box, giga quad or vu+ uno. BB side is still nice and reliable

The 10db attenuator should remain on the cable after the splitter to the router. The other connection from the splitter to your box if it continues to pixelate I personally would suspect your signal is too strong and would place a 3db attenuator on the cable going to your box which would give you approx. 6db due to the splitter. My signal on mine is too strong and as a short fix I used three splitters in a row to reduce mine until I got the appropriate attenuator.
