If Nagra 3 was secure why would they bother releasing NAGRA 4.
I have seen SKY (nagra3) hacked with dream 500 in Eire. Eastern european mate has it hacked for months, using automatic mac. address
updates. Occasionally needs manual adjustments, so user needs basic
linux knowledge.

Sky is not hacked, and any reports of nagra 3 being hacked anywhere are unsubstantiated and dubious at best. Why give people false hopes?

uk has used n2 for a while now hence why starview one repaires dun bother couse the software does not work 90% of the time and virgin goign to iptv now n3 as eva stated ip tv is impossable to hack i hope i eat my words

Maybe... just maybe the Starview 1's are unreliable The UK is still on nagra 1. Thats why we use evocamd on linux receivers and still using December firmware on current closed source receivers

so we cant be sure of vm changing then, im not going to worry untill new cards come through the post. i recon vm will concentrate on iptv cus they are upselling the fact that they have more ON DEMAND stuff than anyone else so wont have the funds/time to do both

just a thought, i have a mate who has a modified vm box(i think talback is taken out?)

he recieves all channels, would that be affected by a change?

If we ever moved to nagra 2/nagra 3 then these receivers would no longer work. They didnt work in Ireland when nagra 2 came, so theres not much hope in the UK

No they have not. We are still on nagra 1. Nagra 2 fixes have been released, but that doesnt mean that we moved over to nagra 2. Again why do we use evocamd on linux receivers and December patches on closed source receivers ?

NTL have changed to N3 in Ireland. VM only offer services to the UK and not Ireland. When VM decide the need to go to N3/IPTV, then yes they would have to change some set top boxes(eg: pace 1000's) and also issue new cards out

currently using. Will call to eastern bloc ally to-morrow to check he is not
using card-share. If you don't know don't post any further innacurate info,
as I haven't seen so many untruths posted in one thread on any forum.

C/S is not a hack as such and if he did "hack" Sky, it would be widespread on the tinternets or he would be making a bomb by charging people for his "fix" Im sure many people would pay a one off fee of ?100-?200
