    advice pls

    hi all,

    as you can see i'm new here and this is my first post.
    i've been reading alot in last few days around the forum and i'm bit confused as for which box to get and things!
    so i wud like your opinion on which box to get and how to go about it?
    i'm in NE england(if that makes any difference)
    and sorry if i've put this in wrong place

      what do you want from the box?

      satallite? cable? do you want recording? hdi def?
      Wavefield Ds 55cm at 13E 19E and 28E receiving everything out there on 2 dm800hd

          i got few yrs old unused (sky) dish on my house, if that can be used
          not bothered about recording and hd.

              I would recommend the EX1000SL or the EX7000HD. If you're wanting satellite, remember you cant hack Sky
              Lose your memory sticks? Forget to backup? Why not get 2GB of free space online, and I get 250MB too

                      The dish is pretty useless TBH. If you just wanna plug it in and watch telly go for Starview Eurovox or the likes. If you want a bit more, watchin tv on your pc movies from pc to box and you are comfortable with computers then i would say a Dreambox.

                              If you've got a live cable feed, you can connect the box to it and do a scan it will pick up all premium channels that are available in the UK.

                                  Plug in and watch is when the box has been modified for your illegal needs You would get all virgin media channels as long as you live in the UK(You dont get so much adult channels )

                                      i only got freeview with aerial on the roof

                                          Best bet is to give a little Subscribe to minimum package with VM. That way your guaranteed a live feed and they get some revenue in return

                                                  Well its attitude like that the ~~~~s it up for us all. If no one paid any subs they would go out off business and people will lose their jobs as part of a knock on effect. Is a tenner a month or so too much for you to pay, for all the services you can receive ?

                                                      The way I see it is there needs to be a balance Me myself I pay minimum subs but joe public might not. we need to give them some money to keep running and to keep people employed, but not too much so that they can afford a better encryption system Of course they can "save up" But Id rather have "free TV" for longer

                                                          to be honest it is too much for me at the moment.
                                                          thats the reason why i had to cancel my sub with S*y and why i want to buy a "box"
