    Help needed with Q5 PVR HD box connection

    Hi can anybody help me please, i am going bold by the day trying to figure this out.. I have just bought a 49'' sony 4k tv, i have an yahmma amp and the Q5 PVR hd box. I have connected my tv to the amp via hdi, i have also connected my Q5 box to the amp to get surround sound, but for some reason i only get the picture and no sound. But when i connect the q5 direct to the tv via hdmi i get sound and picture.. I want it to go via my amp so i get the usage of my surround sound. Please anybody out there with any ideas.. thanks in advance

      What Model is the yamaha A/V Amp as some require you to set the HDMI setting in the Yamaha menu either to Auto or HDMI, Better set to HDMI as the auto routinely takes a few seconds to search each input assigned to the HDMI you have the receiver plugged into

          its a rx 675 amp, it does have an arc hdmi which i have connected the hdmi from the tv to the amp.

              I use to won an RXV-673 so little difference, The ARC feature is only Audio Return Channel so that you can get the audio from your TV back into the Yamaha via the ARC channel but your TV must also support ARC or it will not work.

              I assume which ever the HDMI input the Q5 is plugged into is set to HDMI audio in the Amps main menu setting, if it is then it sounds like it could be a setting in the Q5 main menu to allow the receiver to send bitstream audio to the Yamaha
