We will check this problem with Q7 and try to solve it on Q5.
Variable volume levels on channels - Q5

Instead of adjusting the volume levels one by one, is it possible for new firmware to detect that an HD channel has been selected & increase the volume slightly?I didn't check with other box, but I think they may have the same problem if the volume levels in the stream are defferent. We have already set a unified volume level but the fact is in your side the HD ones are lower than SD ones. So we have to adjust them one by one.
This would even out the volume levels for all channels then.
I assumed that as a new model was coming out, then there wouldn't be any new firmware for the Q5, so it's good to hear that it's still being supported. Where would we be able to download the new firmware when it's available?Last edited by Hadron; 25 March, 2015, 11:49.Comment

It's known that there is no sound on some Sony & Panasonic TV's when using HDMI, but I have an LG32LH2000. Every now & again, after changing channel I will lose the sound. It only happens rarely, but when it does I have to switch the Q5 off & on again.
I don't know if it's the same bug that's causing the Sony & Panasonic problem.Comment

Q5 has problems with HDMI. We have confirmed this. In some case TV recognize Q5 HDMI as DVI. So sound lost. But as chip provider(MSTAR) has stopped firmware update for Q5 main processor, we cannot fix this problem by our software. This caused some customer complain Q5 and it is part of the reason we changed chip supplier to Amlogic for Q7.It's known that there is no sound on some Sony & Panasonic TV's when using HDMI, but I have an LG32LH2000. Do you have an ETA for the update please?Actually we care about the problems customer encounted. So I'm on the forum to check what problems Q5 has. I have checked Q5 in my hand and I cannot reproduce the problem. So we'd better to get a way to reproduce the problem, then it is hoped to be fixed. For example, for a stream which cannot play fluently on Q5, if we can get this stream and check it in the lab it will be very helpful to fix the problem or figure out what the problem is. As you know, the field enviroment is complicated. We appreciate the help from our customer to make Q5 better.
Also, Thanks for your concern about Q5.
