Mine will die when a internal component comes to the end of its life.
Even if N3 do come into play my box will still be alive.

Ok:

Expected Life expediancy of Nagra 3 is approxamitely 6.5 to 7 years, seeing as Nagra 3 has been operational for the past Two years on Satellite, that gives it at least another 4.5 5 years to run before any newer security upgrade is needed .

As is the history of Hacking and seeing as this Encryption is been rolled out simultaniously between Cable and Satellite providers normaly when an encryption is hacked its usually in the last year to 18 months of it life expediancy so going on past history of and lot of hacked Television encryption I will adopt this rule and by doing so Nagravision will not be fully opened on cable or Satellite untill early 2011 ....

Personaly I do not see it been opened at all ! I think its a great bit of encryption and is as secure as NDS, who will not sabotage it this time around unfortunately.

You also need to remember that presently no other encryption is hacked Seca, Viaccess, NDS, Irdeto, Conax Cryptoworks, Dreamcrypt & BetaCrypt ar all secure and not Hacked ..... Why because it can't be hacked any more, going fast are the days of free TV ..
