Contemplating buying a Eurovox or similar..

Hi Guys, Im finally thinking of purchasing a Eurovox or similar, however I now read about all the N3 stuff going on. Was looking to spend under a hundred quid. Would it still be worth it?? Or Should I not bother and go the Satellite route...also if I should buy one, what budget priced box should I go for??

Any advice would be much appreciated

If you live in Britain and already have cable installed, then I would say that it's still worth getting a box, since it's likely to be quite a while before N3 is introduced here. By this time, the box will have more than payed for itself.

As for which box to buy, the Eurovox is a safe choice, and is easy to use. I prefer my Dreambox, but the extra features are not necessary if you just want to watch TV.

I'm considering switching to satellite myself, but I think it's wise to wait for a while, as most providers are switching, or have already switched to, N3 encryption.

        Hello m8,
If you are looking for a basic euro, then its the SL1000, which will give you all the channels but without any features/options. They are about ?80

Then there is the EX5100, which will give you the same channels but with the option of adding an internal HDD for recording. They are about ?120

Thanks, is Digivox a different brand then? Just wondering what the cheapest option would be to get up and running.

Buy from a well known dealer as there are plenty of sellers who sell clones these days.
