    Openbox C4
    Amiko Mini HD
    Amiko Mini Combo
Cloud iBox 3 ibox 3 has a weak cable tuner needs a very strong signal to work.
    Estar 800HD SE
    Estar 800HD SE Triple
    Sunray 800HD SR3
    Sunray 800HD SE SR4
    Blade Combo

zgemma-star so far poor instructions contained and lack of support
octagon sf 918cg se closed source not e2 receiver

one reason to research before you buying and 2 splitters=low signal at a guess.

has it always been like this, or has it just started recently?

My pictures started breaking up, and the signal quality dropped. Eventually I managed to got someone who worked for VM ton don a homer, and check it out. He went out to the box outside, and sorted it. I think he said he put my connection in a higher bracket, or something like that. Anyway, since he sorted it, the picture is always 100%, and hasn't broken up, or pixelated once, though he said that could change if VM are called out to look at one of my neighbours houses.

hence why weak tuners had an issue and with it raised fixed it for moment.

Always had this problem also had an amiko mini which has the same problem too have ordered a gigablue quad from Germany waiting to receive it hope this doesn't have the same problems as the other two boxes will be a waste if money otherwise only option left is to try a konig

            Why is it split twice?

Where does the other connection to the outside splitter connect to?

It would have been far cheaper trying the Konig booster than actually taking a chance on a Gigablue quad with Cable tuner installed

sure its winter and it snows and tv will reflect that ooooooooooooooooohhmm too high variable attenuator to check if it lowers signal down?

Just put an attenuator on it signal increased quality wise from 10 to 30 so me thinks signal is too strong will buy a variable attenuator see if that helps

aye sometimes you have to try things to see if better or worse.

Quite true trial and error I suppose hopefully a variable attenuator will resolve it ..... I hope

                            Good idea.

Sometimes it's hard to convince some members that reducing their signal might actually increase their sig strength & quality readings.

A member on another forum recently threw his toys out of his pram when another member tried to convince him that his variable attenuator wasn't an amplifier. He insisted that it must be (even though it had no power supply!), as his sig strength & quality went up when he connected it. He just couldn't be convinced that a strong signal can overload some boxes.

Very much true, everyone seems to think it's a weak signal strength but it can sometimes be the exact opposite.

As for the Q5 and Amiko as well, It's the tuner, very poor quality so it needs the signal to be spot on. Also splitters can be a problem, some are so poor off fleabay there not worth a toss, make sure you get a decent one. The ?3.50 one's at screwfix (labgear) are supposed to be OK but I can't confirm that.

Here's a tip, with the Q5, don't use a 3-4-5 way splitter unless its a v.g good / heavy quality splitter. I prefer to use 2 x 2 way splitters. First split goes to Q5 and to another Splitter then from the 2nd splitter to tivo bband. Now some people will say that will be worse but I don't know why but it works better than 1 x 3 way.
I have the konig yellow brick booster and on a weak signal house it did nothing to improve it. I use a Miraclebox mini combo so never a problem. The only 3 way splitter that worked for me was a Tratec 3 way splitter balanced 5-1000MHz ES-03-MS 6.2db per line
