vm epg help

just got my zgemma h1 running at last but cant get the vm epg to work the ive got the sat working but dont know what to do for the vm epg. any ideas

whatever image you are running goto the crossepg in the main menu - setup - crossepg and if you have not done so already update your rytec providers these have been down for a couple of weeks now but just checked tonight and they appear to be back online, once updated rytec providers you should have 34 updated goto the xmltv providers and VM is the last one down the list

I'm having same problems with my blade media bm8000 on cable tuner 2 all channels are fine but showing no epg, kind of wish I'd known about this before buying the box wish I'd just bought a cheap q5

thanks for info but when i go to update rytec providers it says cant retrieve them, so i have said yes to vm in epg, and the cable epg is working fine 7 days in advance, i read if you go to a vm stream channel for 2 mins it updates epg. do you know how to add vm picons i have the sat ones but cant see them in picons feeds using patched vix 150 for zgemma h1, it is a good box no better for ?77 uk delicerd next day.

I dont use the Vix image on the Zgemma here as it is patched tried it just for the hell of it but after one green screen that was it never again cant complain it is patched after all, Running OpenATV 4.2 latest here that lets you download the Rytec providers probably explains why it works on OpenATV as they are an officially supported image Vix is not.

Anyway the Picons i posted a while back will do both 28.2? east and VM Cable in one go download here: http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...o=file&id=3186

Unzip the file which should leave you with a 'picon' folder and place this on your USB stick or external hard drive which ever you are using

digicom had the green screen of vix a minute ago was going to try openatv so do i use the wizard in the openatv image or go to autoboughets maker i need to get the irish saturday football in the sports boughet or can i just not use the wizard and scan both cable and sat then use autoboughets 28.2 plugin and c2 plugin

Download the latest Openatv image for the Zgemma from here:

No need to install the autobouquets its already in the image - Menu - Setup - Service Searching - Autobouquet Maker.

Just setup what you need in there like $ly SD, $ly Ireland & VM cable and then just press the scan now button.

You will have already setup the satellite tuner and the cable tuner on the initial setup with your Network ID and scanning frequency so should be good to go

If your running the OpenATV image with the Metrix skin then they should fill the screen in the bottom left hand corner if not then go to Plugins - MyMetrix - Other Settings and scroll down to Choose Picon type make sure this says Xpicon and then underneath is another setting Picon zoom you can alter this up to 100%.

If your using any other skin then the picon size is ruled by the Skin which would need altering in the main skin file to your size you require

put openatv 4.1/4.2 on your zgemma - press menu- extended services - epg- then turn vm and sky epg on - happy days

Your better off with the latest OpenATV 5.0 now and EPG refresh is the only one that gives near 99% correct channel listings for Cable none of the Rytec downloads do

If you are reluctant to change to open atv 5.0 then use xmltv importer on atv 4.2 still working for cable epg and will run along side crossepg without conflict if you still use that for sly epg
