Hi all
ive got a friend that lives in malta,and he wants to know if it is possible to use a eurovox the same way has we do in the uk their cable company is called Melita.
just been talking about it and he is like wow and cant belive what we can get

No as the frequency of channels there will be different to the ones the eurovox tuner can tune. Plus the encryption for their cable company is most probably secure.

yes but sure somebody could write the software for this to work ,
also there network works the same has use they can split the internet connection to get tv ,they just cant get the boxes ,
it must be possible someone must be able to do it
people have been getting boxes fromhere and using them with a few modifactions

Not the most scientific way of working this out but how many dodgy boxes are there in your friends area? Also out of these dodgy boxes, how many of them are linux receivers?

I looked at it a while back. At the time they were using Nagra 2 and almost sure it was ROM110. Never looked at the variant as I was on a working holiday

Maybe worth a look given the now N2 fixes for Ireland "may" match. But local knowledge is always best.

none are linux ,well i dont think so cos he says he never heard of dreambox

But do they even have "dodgy boxes" there? Maybe dreambox is unnown to people who reside in Malta? They should have linux receivers there If they dont have any "dodgy boxes" they should have linux and if they're on a better encryption, its likely some of them c/s

i asked that they have tm600 cos i sold a couple to somebody out there for sat but not sure on the cable side

ROM110 Of N2 which is currently being used by melita is unhacked. (well so i have read on DW )

It was closed at the start of the year things change, as said local knowledge is always the best way forward.

and yes people here know alot of dreambox but mostly on the sat side rather than on the cable side
