is there a digital box that picks up channels without been either a sky or cable customer or do you have to be subscribed to these first to pick up channels ?? Thanks in advance for help

to view sky or vm you have to subscibe in some way with vm broadband or phone line, without subscription no unless you are talking FTA.

its for my mum but where she lives she cant get sky or virgin so just wondered if there was anything she could use to get channels

set top boxes or freestat satallite boxes will give you a wider range of channels but not subsciption channels.
