    Cheapest Twin Tuner Cable box

I've been looking for days and days and I'm getting more confused. Is the Dreambox 7025 still available? Can I always change tuners in satellite boxes to get them picked up on Cable? There seems to be a much better range of satellite receivers than cable receivers.

Cheers guys, I'm going mental here.

they do not make the 7025 any more but you may find a 2nd hand one... you can swap tuners only on genuine boxes not the clones..

You could also look at the Itgate TGM220 has to be that model newer itgates have a fixed tuner but you should be able to pick one up for around ?100 second hand and around ?30 for the tuner

its bollox mate, i have a dm600 and its a single tuner box, no room inside for another.. you can change the tuner (if its genuine) and it will take a laptop hard disk for recording etc..

Best alternative is probably the openmedia you have to turn it off to switch between tuners but it's a small price to pay for a box that costs ?100

All I want to do is watch one channel and record another or record 2 channels at once. I'll even put up with an external hard drive. I can't believe no one makes them, surely there's not only me who wants one? They're missing a trick here.

Get a dm500c and a dm600s stick a HD in the 600s and there you have it, twin tuners with seperate recording capabilities for under ?200
