Dbox,500c How to Support

Hi All,

I'm very excited reason being my dreambox has arrived and the question i have is do i need the dreambox on when i'm flashing my box with the image and does it take long whilst this flash is in process?.And could i ask which image would be appropriate for my box.Many thanks all for your attention

mate have a read at the stickys (red highlighted threads at the top of the page).


1. you need your box on yes;

2 flash via telnet - 2 minutes

3. dk image works fine as do many others.

4. try to get your box up and running mate it will be worth it in the long run. any probs post back tons of help available.

I would advise you to use dreamup to flash the dm500 provided you have a Null Modem Cable, it is a fairly simple procedure.

dont forget if you are going to use the dreamup
method.

have box completley switched off from the wall,
locate your image and have correct com port selected

when you see waiting for connection switch on box and you will get
box is alive and speaking to us
then locate image ...and follow the prompts
