DDOS Attacks On Cable Box Websites

Does a DDOS attack not take alot of people to carry out though. Surely someone who just got banned wouldnt be able to do this. Seems suspicious the big cable sites all got attacked at once. Maybe it Virgin Media.

Its not an easy task but a "Hacker" could have a botnet of zombie computers to all target a websites server and with enough requests bashing the server it will slow down/go down altogether.

The use of hackers Botnets are available to buy on the net mostly from russia ect, you can pay to have a certain website targeted.

One theory I heard was that a big clone Eurovox seller was trying to block any site that mentioned the new Eurovox EX1100USB. The clone sellers don't want attention drawn to the fact that there are now only clone EX1000 being made.

Lincsat, i dont think its them, i know who you are talking about. That clone seller is also having a ddos attack on there site. There ddos attack started 2 weeks ago & is still going on.

They have the most to gain!
Corporations have done it before, and will continue to do so.

Surely it would have been better to have had a plain back & white page that simply said "this site is currently under a DOS attack, therefore has been taken down until further notice"

I am personally getting pissed of with these little bitches, they may think there good behind there computer screens but i will say any of these little babys would not confront half of us on these forums an i would personally bite there ****ing noses off one by one
there just little *****s living at home with there mommy at the age of 35 and get a kick out of hacking people personal stuff getting access to whater they want and flooding it over the net for others to find.

ive seen it before they post your details over then net for others to use your accounnts as they please
