Life after Nag3

Hey

Seem as U-p-Crap went to Nag3 here in Dub it cant be 2 long before all others follow so why are ppl still spending money on these box's granted there working now but 4 how long.. Is there life after Nag3 that I am not aware of if so can somebody please tell me as I am nearly ready to sign up. All I want is sports other wise the wife and I will have to start communicating and yes even talk....Help jesus please help.

I think the majority of people who are purchasing boxes now are just hoping their box will just pay for themselves once they have received and set them up to be honest. Coz anything more is a bonus and obviously anything less is a loss but you take that risk hoping for the best.

ffs doom and gloom merchants, how long does it take for a dm500c or other to repay the outlay, just over a month !! get past that and your quids in ! So what if it happens most couldn't complain and those new should know what thier getting into before they purchase otherwise tough !

ya the boxes arent exactly a fortune
some people would throw it on a horse
some people are going the sat root instead now as well

sat seems to be the most viable option for most,im un affected on chorus as of yet but already have a 1m motorised sat dish and dm 500s to play with shortly

Sorry if I came accross doom and gloom. But i do think if somebody is buying a box they should go 4 the eurovox max 2006 etc as it is less of a risk which in turn more value 4 money as Nag3 is comming your way unfortunitly.

The thing is Guys ! a lot of satellite receivers can not even take a official Nagra 3 viewing card ! due to the processor and memory thats needed along with the firmware thats required, there is a very small list of Satellite receivers that can run official N3 cards !

If a lot of receivers can't run a official N3 card it will have little or no chance of running a Patch or hack if ever N3 is opened...

This brings me to Cable receivers, there is a very high posability that a large number of cable receivers on the market can't actually take and opperate a N3 viewing card never mind if there is ever a Patch of hacked firmware sometime in the future .

If you intended shelling out for a new receiver Cable or Satellite you need to be 100% it can actually run a official viewing card .... or you will truly have a door stop .

My Opinion for the past 6 months is dont buy anything releating to this hobby untill all satellite and cable providers have changed or switched encryptions (not only in your country but across the rest of Europe and the U.S ) as this is going on everywhere, once everything settles down in the coming months then we will have a clear picture ! what if anything can and wont be opened..
