Lost channels?? Nag3 or what?

Hey guys

My very first post here...havent really been into the scene for a while since I had a working setup which worked for me and hadnt needed to tweak it at all although it may be considered a bit primitive for some of you!

I use a PCI cablestar card in a pc with ProgDVB and a few other bits of s/ware. Thing is I've lost 90% of channels since Wednesday night. The stream still shows but nothing happening when channel is clicked on. Even lists the channels when I scan each frequency, just arent viewable. Everything was working fine before. As is usually the case, I've been searching online but since I dont have a standalone box like a lot of you guys on here it seems I'm alone in finding a fix.

I dont know if this has any bearing but was on virmin portal the day before it happened and tried to register for a speed upgrade for broadband but that crashed and said I needed to ring them up...which I havent had a chance to do yet. Could that have triggered something...I dont see how it could really but then I dont know enough about this. Just using a splitter on the main feed which goes to the PC.
I do have a regular sub with them for TV,fone and bband.

There was a similar thread where Leeds had lost channels and that isnt a million miles from me (I'm in ex CW area,5C01) but that was down to an outage at virmins end.

Does anybody know what this is? Checked a certain software prog which shows i have the correct keys (yes I still manually update!)

Only getting a few FTA channs at the moment. Can anyone here shed any light on this??

As long as you know 100% certain you have the right keys and your EMU option for your PC Card is switched on then. I can suggest maybe a (restore to default option and trying a rescan) but remove the splitter when scanning and then place back if you get more luck.

I lost some channels aswell this week. Even had a problem where Sky Premier, Gold and some others was being picked up but not sorted correctly for whatever reason.

I just persevered since Monday as each time I scanned I kept losing certain channels not always the same by the way. Have just now (30mins ago) restored a Digivox and rescanned. Picking up 303 channels and everything is back to norm again.

But hey I'm not in Leeds mind you.
