Does anybody know why my virgin modem wont work with a splitter on the cable?

do you have any lights on front panel ?

do a re set, should be a button somewhere. ?

I know that the sync and ready light should be on when it is connected which it does when i have it on 1 cable but as soon as i put the splitter on the sync light just flashes which means there is no internet connection. Is there any reason for this? should i just try changing the splitter?

could be the splitter but could also be that you have a low signal comming into house thus the splitter causes the signal to drop further.
