Ddigital Plus box bricked?

Hi There,

My Ddigital Plus box has seemingly died?

Basically all channels free to air and otherwise will not display a picture at all. Just broken blocks, made up of the picture and of the ddigital menu screen, with the volume permanently breaking up.

The reception signal is at the same levels as it always has been, which is the only reasonable explanation i could think of (bar it being bricked of course).

Anyone else had this problem? Only had the box a year, so its not mega old.

Also I have never updated firmware on this as the null cable will not work via my laptop for some reason. Though thinking this is one place i made to have to start fiddling with again.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if you need more info.

*Edit - Would this be due to a weak signal? I have not had problems at all in the last yr but its just one thing i can think of??

You'll like this. Tried everything, factory reset checked all settings blah blah blah..

Amusing advice from my completely untechnically minded flatmate - "Have you tried whacking it .."

wish i could help but i had the same thing last night tried watching boxing but my box wouldnt have none of it just switched it off went to sleep got up this morning it was working perfect
