I think digicon told you in another thread, ie put openvix on then install the autobouquetmaker plugin, setup autobouquetmaker to scan you northwest cable network ID and you'll have you channel list with associated fav/bouquets folders.

I dont use the Vix image so perhaps someone who does my be able to clarify but the last time i used Vix the ABM was accessed via the Blue button as it is already Built into the image, also there is no NET ID for the North West there are several Net ID's for different Town's/City's and you need the specific one for where you live this is important.

Please do not use the ABM 28.2? as this plugin is separate from the ABM which is generally already installed for you on any of the OE alliance images

ihave gone into setup/service searching/Auto bouquet maker, then selected my provider and net id for my area, then when i try scanning it says Tuning VM, then shows 0 videos and 0 radio, then 20 seconds later says TIMEOUT FOR TUNER LOCK.

is there something im missing out

Fazz69, you're doing fine, in the 3rd picture of #6 you'll see 'tuner configuration' I don't know how many tuners a ventron has, as it sounds like is a hybrid combo box. But you need to configure your cable tuner for your local cable settings ie again enter your net ID, qam and symbol rate, if your unsure of these then they should be where you got your original Net Id from. Also, make sure all provider settings (1st picture #7) , other than virgin (uk) are set to 'NO' ie no sky(uk) no Sky (roi) and no Freesat(uk)

Hopefully, your scan will then work.
