Irish region channels in london

Is it possible to get irish region specific channels in london, such as Disney HD and History HD, by using the dublin Net id in Tuner & AutoBouquetsMaker?
Or would that not work?

My equipment wont arrive for a while so I just wanted to find out beforehand.

There are a few generic channels but most are very region specific. If you put in a net id for a region other than where your scanning it just won't work. (Or should I say, it didn't work for me)

you should get many uk hd channels on your local netid as irish ones are not on uk cable,on sat maybe as some use roi sd for abm and your whole lineup changes.DISNEY AND HISTORY hd are not specific to irish region.
abm for roi is useless as no info is found.maybe things may change as upc has changed to virgin media now.

Disney HD, ID HD, History HD are NOT available on UK cable according to a lot of info online, they are only available to Irish cable. Are you telling me this is incorrect?

I was hoping I can use irish net ID to get them but from what happy highlander says, it won't work/tune from a net id which isn;t your own.

on satellite you can get setanta but on cable I'm guessing those 3 HD channels are not transmitted in the uk via cable.
