While I have cable tv & broadband,a relative 5 doors along from me phoned to have the same package, they were told by VM that cable tv was not available to them, yet they were given the option of being able to take broadband & telephone. Can anyone explain if I live in the same street & have cable tv,how possibly can they NOT receive this service?R they not wanting to sell the tv option anymore?Any help on how to get round this

AFAIK, TV and Broadband come down the same cable, hence the opportunity of being able to subscribe to just a low package (be it TV or Broadband), and put a splitter on it to receive both. I'm sure if I'm wrong someone will correct me!!

If they were only offered broadband & Phone then it must not be a cabled property, & the broadband and phone package would not be the same as your cable one ie: it would be same as BT line and slower speeds. While I have cable tv & broadband,a relative 5 doors along from me phoned to have the same package, they were told by VM that cable tv was not available to them, yet they were given the option of being able to take broadband & telephone. Can anyone explain if I live in the same street & have cable tv,how possibly can they NOT receive this service?R they not wanting to sell the tv option anymore?Any help on how to get round this
If they are only five doors away it sounds like you are right on the edge of the Cable service area.
Have you tried checking their post code on VMs site???Comment
