When we look to c/s we as you know we are just looking for free TV and to line the pockets of certain groups.
My comment is hinting that a new ROM may well have a set of keys ( just like an older version ); what we may find is more than 1 set of keys and that there encrypted other than DES.
We also will find many similar trates to older versions.
To have a real hack and a hobby this is where our efforts need to be put; research on how to open a ROM.
The new ROM although Atmel , may even have code from a diff manufacturer, like SECA.
If we looked into all avenues, and there are many but its not easy, we may learn more. Those avenues have to be looking at reverse engineering a ROM.
Until we do that we are left with c/s and dont you just hate that?
