    Zgemma box or not?

Hi just wanted a bit advice on which box I should go for, there seems to be a few people getting the zgemma h1 boxes so was wondering is it worth me getting the same or getting something better, I will be running it through vm cable so will need a tutorial and right image if I go down this road, any advice would be appreciated, cheers...

Be aware that, unlike Kryptview, they are NOT bundled with a xxxxxxxxxx access and if you buy from a discount seller, you will likely need to setup the image on the box.

The Zgemma boxes are at the lowest end of the combo dual tuner range. As long as you don't forget this and try to get them to do more than one thing at a time you will get along fine with them e.g permanent timeshift and recording at the same time doesn't work very well. Don't forget the new ones are not dual core cpu they are reported as twin thread generally meaning single core with hyperthread enabled, I'm not trying to discourage you by any means. I have an H2 and often work with H1 and 2S which are all essentially the same box and they are great value for money and good starting point to learn the ropes of enigma receivers before you lay out the extra cash for one of the higher end boxes.

Which would you say was the best step up in terms of Enigma sat/cable dual tuner boxes, HH? What would you recommend?

I've been perfectly happy with my zgemma but something a bit slicker would be nice.

Vu+ Duo2. It has 2 tuner slots so you can use a twin satellite and/or a twin cable tuner and still have the option of an extra USB tuner.

I have a quadplus and it performs faultlessly. I have no trouble recording 2 Hd channels with permanent timeshift running on a third Hd channel whilst streaming a film from my plex server through dreamplex. The duo2 will do the same but is more expensive. You souks be able to get a quadplus with 2 sat 2 cable and a 1tb drive for around 300 notes (I think) you will probably have to fit the drive and cable tuners but that's dead easy. Any of the two boxes above are my recommendations. There are others around the same price like the xtrend but I'm not sure about support.

How easy are these boxes to set up compared to the K-View?

Not an issue if complex but just interested of the exact process as my KView has recently died

                        The Zgemma H.2.H is a Combo receiver 1 x Satellite Tuner and 1 x Cable/Freeview tuner

you want the Zgemma H.2.S which has 2 x Satellite tuners

Is the H.2.H worth it or the H1 combo/.

The model numbers are a bit confusing if you don't know them. "S" and "2S" are 1st gen single and twin Sat. "H1" and "H2" are 1st gen combo. "H.S" and "H.2S" are 2nd gen (with SD slot) twin Sat and "H.2H" is a 2nd gen combo.

The difference between the "H1" and "H2" is the cable/terrestrial tuners are different and the "H2" can power a line powered amp which apparently are common in Italy.
