    channels all over the place

ive just set a H1 up with sucmnsee image all working but the channels are all over the place, there in alphabetical order at the minute and have no numbers, how can I get them in order or will it do it by its self when it auto updates the bouques? also in providers I have an extra folder saying H, is there a way to delete them all and do a rescan just on VM, cheers.

Does it not have Autobouquets maker? Set that with your region and search with that.

yes it has Autobouquets maker and I have set it to my area, I have al the channels but they are all over the place when I go to turn the tv over It starts with a load of bbc channels and then it goes alphabetical, you cant even type a number in for a channel because they don't have any, am baffled here.

Go into ABM and try these settings

            Virgin UK
-Virgin UK Area (your Net ID)
            -Virgin FTA Only no
            -Virgin generate main bouquet yes
            -Virgin generate sections bouquet yes
            -Virgin generate HD bouquet yes
            -Virign generate FTA bouquet no
-Virgin generate FTA HD bouquet no
            -Virgin generate swap channels yes

see how you go on with those settings

                I prefer

-Virgin generate main bouquet yes (HD Only)

Then you get the channels with the correct provider numbering in the favourite groups.

Would the same apply to my Amiko Combi HD box?
I have started trawling through and adding channels to my favourites folders, if I do this now will it effect what I have already done?
                  Cheers

The Amiko Mini Combo isn't a Linux box, so no Autobouquets

Thanks Lincsat. Is there anyway of organising them other than just setting up my favourites?
I am happy with the box overall , epg isn't very good at all and only shows the next program on , if any at all .
To record on it do I just have to but a memory stick ? Which is the best one to get ?
I should add I am running the box through Virgin and not satellite , which I think makes a difference with a lot of things on the box
