EPG and Current Program name - When watching cable TV

Hi,

I have Solo2 running BH image, I have VU USB Turbo Tuner to watch Cable.

When I am watching cable and press OK button, most of the time It doesn't show current program name in display and also does not show EPG. However, both work fine when I watch Sat (Sly).

For Sat (Sly) channel list I am using Catseye settings and Rytech-SKYUK for EPG.

For Cable I am using autobouquets. Please suggest what I should I do display Cable pgm name and EPG?

use EPGrefresh in connection with the pvr_epg channel

I don't think that BH supports Virgin EPG as standard, you would need to use the Rytec for Virgin EPG as well or switch to an O-E image like ViX or PLi that supports Virgin EPG

Thank you both. I will first try Rytec VM EPG, if no joy then I will switch to Vix image, a move I have been delaying so far.
It appears Vix is preferred image when it comes to Cable.

Dont bother with the Rytec VM epg its nearly 95% correct but some of the listings it gives you are completely wrong, the most accurate one i have used is the EPGrefresh and pvr_epg channel

Does someone know if latest BH image (Black Hole 3.0.1.F OE 3) has option to load VM EPG. I posted this to VU community but no reply. Latest BH image has following text about EPG:

- Rytec dedicated epg.dat
- New system epg.dat outside.

Have you thought about using the BlackPole image this way you have the best of the blackhole image with sprinklings of the openPLI image to boot

You mean Open Black Hole mate, which replaced the BlackPole project Anyway, that's irrelevant really, the reason I am posting is -

The 'latest' version is somewhat dated and it was in its early stages, if I remember correctly there are still a lot of bugs/kinks that need ironing out.
