I am having some trouble trying to get a Samsung cable box 2110 to work on a splitter. My friend has VM broadband connection in their family room and was moving their Samsung box from a different room in the house to the same room with the broadband. I put a splitter on the main Virgin connection so that the signal could be split to the modem and to the cable box. When both are connected only the broadband will work. I removed the splitter and connected the cable box straight to the Virgin connection box and it worked fine. I then removed this and connected the broadband and this also worked fine. For some reason they will not work at the same time with the splitter. I swapped them on the different threads on the splitter but this did not make any difference. I tried the same splitter after this in my own home to make sure that it was not faulty and it was working. Please help as i do not know what else to do.
