    Best box for recording?

Hi guys, well I've enjoyed me Starview 3 for some time (helped by you guys on here), but with working shifts, I'm missing too much stuff, so I've decided to get a PVR of some description.
Having spent the last couple of weeks reading diff reviews of various boxes, I'm still unsure!! At the mo I'm stuck between the Starview 4, Eurovox EX5100USB, or EX1100USB. Or is it worth spending more and going for the Starview HD or EX7000HD, or maybe something else??? What about upscaling??
One final question, when the dreaded Nag3 hits, will I still be able to view and record FTA channels?

    Many thanks for any help,

    Sammy.

Been using starview 4 for a few months now no probs. Good box. fast channel change. fast scan. etc. ( never tried any other pvr box).

As for the upscaling. The EX7000HD only upscales to 480p (correct me if im wrong) not sure about the starview HD. So your decision if it is worth the extra bucks.

As for HD box you kind of answered yourself. only got a few HD channels on Virmin at the moment and with the impendinding Nag3/IPTV hit coming is it worth it?

Only you can decide on that one mate!

On a parting note. Enjoy while it lasts as all good things come to an end.

Hopefully later rather than sooner, Lol

      Hi Shaggy,

thanks for the reply M8, I didn't realise the EX7000HD only upscales to 480p, so thats out of the equation! But I've read a lot about SV4's getting the dreaded 8882/8888 alarm, and bricking it! Out of the boxes the SV4 would be my choice, only because I've had a SV3 for a while so I kind of know what I'm doing, but was just wondering if there was a better/more reliable box?

      Cheers,

      Sammy.
