Cant fathom this out .put starview box on line scan nothing put virgin box back on back in action no bother. Take box back to own house scan picks up everything no problem, thats why i can only asume its because its a new install and there is something stopping the process

Phone virgin up tell them your missing some channels on your paid box etc.

I usually mention discovery.

See what they say.

This could be a signal issue that the tuner in the starview maybe can't pickup.

kanega i could be wrong here but even if this was n3 (and 100% certain it aint) i am still fairly certain that your box would still most likely pick up the transponders. you just wouldnt unscramble channels.

mind you confused as to what it could be as it looks to me like you are getting no signal between the incoming cable and your box.

Do u think it may be something to do with the firmware? Maybee an older version might work in the Glasgow area

It is not an encryption issue. Hamilton AFAIK has an SR of 6952, Glasgow will either be 6952 or predominately 6887.

So if it worked in Hamilton it scanned at default 6952. You need to do a factory reset and scan at 6887.

i dont know to much about the workings of a patch for a set top box but if a hack for nag3 comes it will probably be released on a cam and/or card combanation and then later be released as a emulator, so if the jungle chip can handle it there shouldnt be any reason why your box couldnt work with nag3 but sadly i think this is all wishfull thinking as i cant see it being on a emu based stb for a very long time if ever.

When you go onto the VM site mentioned in this video, its asking for pass and log in and no other info is available.
If they have issued ANY n3 cards anywhere in the uk, this site would have information for customers.
Mabey they are getting everything ready for when they launch.
if its true, dark days are comming!
