from what i heard from a guy thats well up on the mmds scene
is if ch***S want to go N3 that they have to change the boxes as well as the cards because the system yhey have cant carry N3 and it will cost a lot
so there going to hold out a while longer incase someone comes up with a fix for N3 somewhere around the world
and they have wasted money the really dont have
Every box in the country will be affected, there is no hack as of yet and those in the know don?t expect one in the foreseeable future.
I see the biggest beneficiaries here being Sly and Vermin losing a lot of customers.

would that guy be a trader .....they are making progress every day on mmds
they only have to swap the older boxes ...and n3 mmds stream is live
so that says it all

ch0rus are owned by upc, they are way bigger than vermin....and have
plenty money to spend on this....Irl in a way is a test for them to see if
its gonna be sucessful as upc have lots of other countries on n2 almost
ready to upgrade to n3
[QUOTE=mhalley;311440]Upc/Ntl MMDS switched over to Nagra3 on August 18th so I would say Chorus MMDS will happen soon[/QUOTE
Upc N#l mmds is a different system to ch##us mmds.It is dvbc, same as
cable and use exactly the same box.Ch##rus mmds is dvbt and use a terrestrial box.2 things I've heard are the processor in the present mmds boxes can't handle thr N3 cards. Also that the first Chorus mmds customers to be affected are those close to cable, presumably they can
switch them over to cable easily enough. As for rural areas I think it is a different story.
