    Very Confused

The other day I posted a thread regarding a recent sotware upgrade, 3.7 and the thread was closed, saying this was not allowed, i did not discuss anything in regards to hacking, theft of cable services etc, so how can a simple question be against the rules when on this very same forum you have "STICKIES" with firmware updates and instructions on how to modify cable boxes, how can these be allowed but asking simple questions about cable software updates is not allowed?

Dont mean to open a can of worms but i just think it doesnt make sense.

The difference is that the question you're asking is about official cable equipment. Whilst the so called STICKIES you mention are not for official equipment.

i can only think it was talking about modifying Virgin Media's equipment which is illegal.

messing around with 3rd party boxes and their firmware is fine.

EDIT: swifty got there before me!
