i got Billed for a movie on eurovox?

    hi

New to the Eurovox cable box scene, but basically as follow:

after installing everything and updating firmware, box was all smooth and all channels available.

and 1 month ago whilst browsing all the channels a stopped on a channel showing"BRONSON", cool i thought. so watched it

VM have just billed me ?3.99 for watching it!!

How come, i thought they couldnt do this. i never asked for the film. It was just there!

And if so, wouldnt this mean some form of communication from my EX1100 to VM so they knew i was watching it.

Any info please, as i am about to disconnect it just in case thet DO know i got it.

    Cheers

      hi

the only other box is a subbed Vm box upstairs, but it has not been used since i put it up there on a splitter.

i still have my sky+ as i have not cancelled it yet( probably won't now cos of this N3 thingy)

But definately NO ONE has used this box to access any pay per view movies.

Just me downstairs on the Ex1100.

      strange!!

the Vm box upstairs is just basic freeview on the free M package cos of my BB and phone.

But i know for a fact that pay per view has never been used on it let alone any other channels, its been on ch123 for 4 weeks! .

I am convinced that my EX1100 has somehow let them know i watched 45 minutes of Bronson on 15th September. Wouldnt mind but i did not see whole film

              Well it didn't.

The charge may be from a few months ago.
Who else is in the house?

Or they could be up to their old tricks of slipping in extra charges every so often and hoping you don't notice.

Its definately from last month. and it is a coincidence that it was the film that i was watching too.

I have never been billed for any TV before as i have only just connected it up last month.

there is only me and wife at home, visitors came foe a week last month but they adamant they did not book a film on VM box in bedroom.

Feel a bit cheeky phoning them up, though. just in case they sya i got the EX1100.

Will have to keep an eye on the bill and stay away from the "CH" channels on eurovox.

My neighbour has cable too, wonder if he ordered the film and my euro picked it up. Because nothing else has appeared on the same channel since apart from some WWF shite. Hope i don't get billed for that too..!!

As others have said its impossible. There is no talkback for a start and as such you cant even order a film. You have simply been fortunate enough to pick up a stream of someone who has ordered in your area - send the bill to them

They have either made a mistake or someone has accidentally ordered on your other box - sure the wife hasnt been watching the ~~~~?

                    ha......the wife.....~~~~...........i wish! unfortunately NOT!

I suspect it is probably the neighbour as they have a relative living with them with a NEW cable installation to bedroom.

Not sure about phoning telewest, though.

i was just a little worried i would be billed for anything else i might just fall on, ie, the wife watching ~~~~!

                    cheers

I've managed to sneak onto a few PPV streams, don't you just hate it when they pause it and go make a cup of tea!

funny you should say that, the bloody film froze when he was walking down a corridor. I thought it was the EX1100!

the neighbour must have gone to Pauls house or something!!

I think i will have to give them a call, after i have disconnected the EX1100................just in case!

Another thing I've noticed is that there must be quite a few gay men in my area.

The PPV Gay channels seems very popular, I've often came across 2 or 3 different streams,

basically, i need to phone TW and query the bill.

Then i will ask neighbour if he ever uses the pay-per-view, NOT mentioning the Eurovox, obviously.

Hopefully he aint ordered anything else, although i am worried about the definite stream last week with some kind of WWF shite. Best not get billed for that, too.

                            cheers

just to be sure you dont get charged again
give your vm box back to them
tell them you got sky box in your house
and you got one year contract with sky
so you dont need the vm box its just going to run up the bill

before i got a eurovox box my friend used one for two years and hes still using it and never got charged
all eurovox boxs cant send signals thay can only receive signals if thay sent signals out no one would have one

DONT WORRY thay can never find out
unless you let them in your house and thay see the eurovox box
