    Cable Disconnection

Does anyone know if virgin media actually physically disconnect the feed cable upon termination of contract? Could be rubbish but I heard that now theres no analogue they have a duty to allow you to retain the cable in order to recieve free to air channels.

      disconnection

when you finish subscribeing they"vm" are supposed to collect their stb which has been on loan and then they are supposed to go to the cab in your street and then "disconnect" the rf coax but as we all know 90% of the time they either cant afford it or cant be arsed and thats why there are alot of sammy stbs floating around.

        Cable Box

Hello Everyone, Just joined today to tell you all that all uk cable boxes will be switched off in the next 10 weeks. As you proberly know all boxes have been switched off for a few months now in Ireland. New Cards have started to go out to uk costmers now, and they will go over to nagra 3. I hope this helps and I have not spoilt your evening Regards

My in-law decided he fancied a starview 3 yrs ago , he'd subscribed to cable and wireless 10yrs before , but had been with sly ever since.
I took my box over and tried it , before he contacted VM and the feed was still live ! .
He had 8 mths trouble free , totally free viewing , before he lost his feed , turned out the same day a neighbour was connected up .
So he then had to take out a basic viewing package to guarantee his feed .
It's always worth quick "try before you buy" ! .
                      I hope this helps .

Just find the exchange and your door number and hook yourself back up. Always good to have a Hi-Vis vest when doing this to look the part.

Wasn't a joke mate. This can be done. Although it takes a brass neck to do it.
