Ring them up from a mobile and tell them an engineer supplied the box when he was at your house a while back.

    That will shut them up.

They're more stupid than I first guessed.

If they had a cure they would just keep stumm and let them go down.

Before very long the'll be putting a notice up advising their own boxes can be modded to get all channels without paying so everyone will take out the minimum package.

. Anyone tried phoning and told them this? Would be a good joke for someone in Leeds to make once their receivers go down for good
Lose your memory sticks? Forget to backup? Why not get 2GB of free space online, and I get 250MB too

New smart cards are on the way. Postal strike may see us over xmas. Instructions for new cards now being given on the TV guide menu. Fingers crossed its not NAG 3. And that some of you clever people can sort a fix for their update. Always a silver lining though will have to spend more time at the pub for the football. DVD for films, and wont miss the utter crap and repeats they pump out as so called entertainment. P.S. Where is Mr Pumpy these days?

If virgin go the nag 3 route, and therefore cause an end to free tv I belive they will loose a lot of customers, most people have at least a basic sub, but if its the case they have to pay to watch what they want, then sky would be the most likely option to choose, there is no way on this earth I would pay virgin the same sub as sky for an inferior package, personally I am not affected as I have a motorised sat system which allows me to watch what I wish

Totally agree there, I also would go down the SKY route if I had to pay for a service. I think VM will lose more customers than they gain by doing this as most people given the choice would rather pay for SKY than VM as there is more for your money on SKY.

trouble is you need a bt phone line for sky.
and cable gives you a far better deal for phone and broadband.

Cable does give a fair deal for BB and phone, however I suppose people will just get themselves 10MB broadband and pay Sky ?5 a month for phone Or go straight to BT, seeing as though any problems you have with Sky will mean that Sky will have to tell BT

I take it Sky needs a BT line to "call home"? This will really be the death of virgin media seeing as though no one will be paying for anything. I was thinking of paying VM for broadband seeing as though they are quite reliable over here and we do get quite a high speed, but if needs must, then needs must
