Azbox help

many thanks guys on help.iv got mgcamd on azbox but
where the nag folder to re name to tel west.I can not find from filezilla.here i need some help what 2 do.

Just find latest softcam k@ys make sure it's named the same as one in mgcamd
open it with notepad and find the one that matches yours in nagra section under ex-smellywesk ect.........and find correct k@ys and edit yours use filezila ect......to send to receiver also give priority eg no # infront of it and also make sure it's at the top in the priority menu

so we need to open softcam with notepad

change ex CW or N*L. to TW thats what area sid is in

change the NetID to the correct one for sids area

we have found a uptodate Redbulls mgcamd with au in so we should not need the latest keys ????

select OpenXCS-->select activation & priority setting-->highlight mgcamd and press ok to start(there shold be NO # symbol prefix)-->restart the azbox and all being well you should now have access to the channels

would the above be right m8 thanks for you help on this

Yes M8 seems good I new about redbulls one but as I already had mgcamd installed just copyed my softcam file over using filezila and worked without any problems I know might try redbulls and see also if you have any other camd files in openxcas make sure mgcamd is at the top in priority settings.ENJOY

if you can get latest softcam K@ys then just copy over but make sure its named the same as the one in Mgcamd it should work already as no changes for the last few weeks no need to change net id

there are no TW keys in softcam but there is a au file in mgcamd redbulls i dont know if it will au TW so i will edit the softcam with up to date keys for TW just in case

Hi again Martin-F

All he really needs to do is download latest Softcam and not do anything to softcam if it is latest and just filezila or dcc it into /PLUGINS/mgcamd if the file is other name attached than just (should be this SoftCam.Key )change the name it should work once the mgcamd is restarted .
Short cut is the fastforward on remote

I was in the same position as you when I first setup this tuner. 4 hours of cursing over a few beers.

You need to do a scan using NIT only to find the transponders. If your problem is the same as mine was, the symptoms are signal level 100%, quality (lower bar) 0% regardless of channel.

The reason is, even when you change the symbol rate, the box doesn't take up the alteration. Therefore you have 100% BER and no lock on any transponder. Trial and error (and beer) won in the end. Flashed to latest firmware at the time, 3501 and then f**ked around with the manual tune till the bugger locked!

As soon as you get one transponder, they rest will come automatically using NIT.

I can pass you my channel/DVB-C files from the box if it helps.

Has SatSid gave up!!!!!!!!!

I must admit tunner is abit of a git to scan a clean firmware of the latest will do the trick just copy the latest bin file to a usb drive repower box by switch at rear you should get a menu to "format aplication area" But remember save and backup all channels plugins ect.................then load from usb (only format usb to fat 16 or fat 32) sit back let it load
providing tunner is all ok it should work when correct settings are chosen if settings are not present in "E list edit one go back to E once edited tick left of new or edited freq in E list this should save it"
This is what I Have found worked for me The fact of a clean firmware is important.............

Right! Just trying to kill a bit of time before T*pgear HD comes on...

Just did a factory reset and decided to go for a rescan of channel for the hell of it, I'm not a sadist but I refuse to watch any more Ben 10 today!

The correct (imho) scan settings for North Liverpool are:

Country: Standard
Search Mode: Manual
Network Search: NIT
Channel: E33 (Irrelevant)
Frequency: 571000KHz
Symbol Rate: 6952KHz
QAM: 64
ANNEX: A/C

232 TV & 37 Radio as of today.

The only important bits are freq and S/R....a quick Google search /SNIP/ Just found this http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...ol-rate-18032/

Hope this helps a few. Hopefully the next firmware will fix the big bugs in this promising box, and maybe then I won't feel like jumping on it! It could be such a great media player like the PCH but it really sucks!!
