any updates on this yet? fancied trying to get one to play with as 2nd box on cable

Box still a pain to set up but noticed a lot of updates for the AZBox so things are starting to look promising finally at least if all else fails in the near future there's CS with this box.
I am currently runing both cable and sat(CS) on same receiver and just latest firmware and MultiCas and all is brilliant no problems I think this box is tricky for a first time linux machine but in the end I think it will be better than most (just my opinion)
CS will work for vermin when all else failes so still hope for AZBox owners me thinks!!!!! if not then sat option best of both worlds.

The current status with the AZBox to me is...
It is not a replacement for Sly+, it is capable of NO MORE than a single tuner system
If you are looking for a basic, simple and reliable HD tuner, get a Eurovox 7000HD + USB 2.5" HD
The relationship between customer->dealer->Opensat is like that of Israel and Iran right now and I also don't expect it to change.
If you do want a Sly+ replacement,you could take a chance on the "new and improved" AZBox+ (I kid you not!)
Firmware has only just become stable enough to have clear audio on all channels without that annoying 5 second glitch, and its been a long time.
It is still unable to perform as an everyday media player at 1080p, or any res with DTS (yes I have a DTS decoder over SPDIF so it's not the soft decoding at fault, just basic raw stream handling!!)
At the moment, its as good as a DM500 (if it could decode HD)...just. I am embarrassed to admit I paid ?300 for a dual tuner pup.
It works, just like taking your family to the airport in a rickshaw works...but not without its problems or downsides.
