connecting a second box to hd

hi guys a mate of mine has just vm hd installed and he has a box up the stairs which is the standard virgin box the one up the stairs was working fine until the vm engineer put in the hd box. i havent seen it yet but im assuming it will just be a connection issue as he isnt getting anything on the upstairs box.?

maybe he hasnt put a bigger splitter on and not connected it

what sort of splitter would he need would a standard one do?

what services does he currecntly have? e.g. broadband, standard box

hes got broadband hd tv package and phone the engineer came out fitted the new box and done something so the upstairs box doesnt work im going down today to see whats happened

would say its blatantly obvious that enginneer has disconneted upstairs feed from where it originates

and once reconneted it will work again

yes looks like its not connected to a splitter

well wots happened is the old virgin box had an rf output so he could get 1-5 plus whatever they were watching on the virgin box downstairs. since he got the hd box in he hasnt got the rf output so hes not getting any channels upstairs.
