8000hd has twin tuners and hdd and dvd capabilities, but cost loads.

500hd is due to come soon, single tuner but megga fast
Wavefield Ds 55cm at 13E 19E and 28E receiving everything out there on 2 dm800hd

previous life dm800hd and 500c on cable screw you nag3

Currently without doubt the Dreambox 800HD is the best and most flexible, with changible tuners etc..
      Setup: 2x Dreambox 800HD | 3x Dm500S on Motorised dish Setup

Me, myself am waiting a year or so before getting the DM 800HD, seeing as though you cant buy HD DVB tuners seperately and most are still on BL 72. Someone's receiver even caught on fire! Im waiting till the clones of these are as good as DM 500's.

Of course you could buy a Dm 800 genuine and they might "rock" but expect to pay ?400
Lose your memory sticks? Forget to backup? Why not get 2GB of free space online, and I get 250MB too

Personally I'd say the DM8000 is by far, its got twin sat tuners built in, you can the add twin cable or a cable tuner and terrestrial tuner. Only drawback is its price tag! U can also add a HDD and DVD RW drive too.

The best box is a Samsung sky HD fast and the best picture, next best is the virgin v plus HD, dont touch the other boxes waste of time with freezing pics and menus done by a 2 year old. Its a krptview or a good dbox2 on SD otherwise
