Free to Air HD question

Can anyone let me know if the Hd channels on VM such as bbchd & CH4HD are free to air. No cam required. I can understand that a cam is required for ESPN HD. I have no HD box to test so I wasnt sure

I beleive they are encrypted..but dont quote me havent really checked. But you cant view them without a HD box.

If I new that BBCHD and C4HD were not encrypted I would go for a dm800 with a c tuner. If I new they were encryted i would get a satellite fitted and have an S tuner instead. dont want to go the satellite route if I did'nt need to. hey if everything does go N3 there I would still be able to watch everything thats free to air wouldnt I.

Uh, but with these boxes you get encrypted cable channels for free Unless of course you are literally going to the legal route of actualy viewing FTA stuff

I know that softcams at the moment such as evocamd can encryt all channels. I was just asking if the FTA channels such as bbc1 and channel4 are encrypted when viewing HD on cable. I dont have a HD box to check. I dont want to fork out for hd box now for something thats only going to work for 6 months. but if the channels are not encrytped I would fork out anyway, as I only ever watch FTA anyway

by reading the forums its looks like they are not encryted but I just posted on here as I thought someone with a HD box can disable the cam and check for me
