nagravision 3 is just a program / code . it is not unbreakable .

when xp came out it was supposed to be very secure . within weeks it was cracked .

the link i gave explains nagravision in more detail . and also it shows how other people in different parts of the world are effected .

regardless of how long it takes to crack it , just take pleasure in knowing that the smile will drop from the cable companies faces in shock .

strange isn't it , enigma was secure as well but it was cracked .

when xp came out microsoft swore how secure it was with in days it was cracked in the east .

As far as I know nagra3 hasn't been hacked/cracked for years.....my knowledge is basically zero on this subject hence why I tend to stay away from the cable/satellite scene.....but if it's not been cracked for years then much like with the PS3 people can say what they want and think what they want but the truth is the be all and end all fact that it hasn't been publicly hacked at all despite years of people's best efforts well that quite simply tells it's own little story. I hate to burst anyone's bubble, but on both items it's not looking likely is it.....

Buts thats because MS are crap at security.... ND$ hasnt been cracked for donkies years, and N3 wont either....You are comparing apples with Beef... Its a whole different product.

PC Software and PPV encryption systems use totally different technologies....

Its been going strong for the last 2 years at least.

But hey ho.... If these codes where so easy to crack, dont you think the smartcards used by Pay as you go mobile phone providers would of been long cracked, or how about the utility companies who supply Electricity and Gas through controlled smartcards.. How much money could be made out of them? A lot of systems cannot be cracked becuase of the amount of time and money needed to do it. If the best people around had loads of time on their ands and loads of money for state of the art equipment it could be done, as anything is possible, but in real terms, they dont have the resources so they are always playing catchup. And the gap is now pretty big.

Cracking a copy of windows is nothing like cracking an encryption system. A system that has been out years and has not been hacked, same as several other encryption types in use throughout the world which have not been cracked either. It may be some day, but for some strange reason a lot of people are thinking this will be done soon.
