    smartcard question?

    now i hope this does not sound stupid but it been bugging me is it possable to have you vermin box on and you other boxat the same time via a splitter when you insert your new smartcard what would happen is the signal encrypted coming down cable? just a thought dont all bo##ock me as i am bit of a newbie

    i think its a case of the card is the encryption, so without the new card any other box will be useless even if its on a splitter

      thanks m8 it was just a thought as i have two boxes split one in main room and other in shed so i can watch footy and let missus watch her soap cr#p well if it is in card then a saying from dads army we are all dooooooooooooomed.

          The box decrypts the signal and allows you to watch. It dosen't then "pass on" an unencrypted stream, it simply allows the box to view the channels.
          Plug one legit box and one clone, or 3 or 4 boxes if you want, its all the same. As long as they have (or appear to have) a valid smartcard/package then the channels will open up.
