Hi guys just new to this site. Just wondering if anyone has any info on this new encription that virgin are supposed to be trying out in Leeds area. I have been told it should be crackable but will it be able to be transfered to existing boxes

hello and welcome, nobody knows for certain what the new encryption is and there is alot of scaremongering and rumour flying about at the moment. the people in the know seem to think its a variation on the nagra3 encryption system used by half a dozen or so satellite pay-tv operators and as for a crack, it could be 3 months,3 years or never. i wouldnt worry about it because when it happens were all going to have black screens for a while and you can be sure that if a hack is made publically available you will see it on d.k.

branson aint willing to spend the sort of money for nagra3 if he did it would be his biggest gaff of the decade after all ng2 was cracked well and truly

Modem working again

Hi Gav as you have noticed my modem is running again.
I got it going by taking the booster off line (wits that about)
