Hi I currently have a dbox which I am currently very happy with but am looking to upgrade to a box that can support HD. I would like to know what my options and is there any extra equipment required

You wont need any new equipment well perhaps other than an hdmi cable although i would expect that to come with the box you buy.
You could try a dreambox 800hd, kryptview DW 800, eurovox ex7000 to name a few. The kview will not be available though probably until after the year. Its a good box though.
You may want to hang fire though to see the effects of the changes in Leeds before buying another box though. -
