Virgin cable said into house

Hi, I have 2 cables from street to box on house but only one is used ( up into living room and split between router and TiVo box ) ... am I right in thinking the 2nd cable will also be live ( to take to another room )

I'd have thought no. But as said above only way to find out is to connect something to feed

Did you try your Tivo on the other cable mate?

If it doesn't work you could replace the 2 way splitter with a 3 way and take a live feed from that.

That's odd because I used to run a 2nd VM box to my bedroom from a separate 2 way splitter from where the cable enters my house and the TV/broadband used another 2 way splitter in the front room effectively creating a 3 way split from the original cable.
