[QUOTE=digicon;3048070]External Only, you would have to 'UP' your budget slightly if you want a receiver that supports internal hard drive. the Technomate E2 series (some of them) receivers take an internal drive

    TM-Nano-SE M2 Plus as an example[/QUOTE

i have a vue solo 2 on sly great box suports internal hdd have a sunray 4 but could never get the cable tuner working.

my ideal box would be a dual tuner 1x sat tuner 1x cable tuner with internal hdd support budget is about 100.
    what would you recommend digi??

        Ahh ok...interesting

I noticed a power switch as well at the rear...looked an odd addon....i guess i should just buy one and have a play... the only twin tuner cable boxes i could afford in recent times were the venton eco but the tuners are cak..

        Thanks lincsat

Just some Facts for those interested:

Zgemma H.2H/H.3/H.5 all run the BCM7362 chipset which incorporates a Dual Hyperthreading 750mhz CPU (the H.5 also supports HEVC codec which at this time is a mute point anyway as nothing is broadcast in HEVC)

Technomate TM-Nano-SE M2 Plus Guess what also runs the BCM7362 chipset which also has the 750mhz Dual Hyperthreading CPU (They are identical in terms of speed)

The Zgemma Range has probably the better Image support compared to the Technomate, but the question was can you fit an internal hard. On the Zgemma NO! on the Technomate YES!

so in perspective terms you could probably pick up a 256GB SD card for the Zgemma at around ?110 (for Official not Chinese cloned card) or there abouts if it supports that size i am unsure, you can get a 1TB 2.5" internal Hard Drive for around ?50

          So lets do some costings:

          Zgemma H.3 with 1x DVB-S2 tuner and 2 x DVB-C/T/T2 tuner + 256gb SD Card around ?200

TM-Nano-SE-M2 Plus 1x DVB-S2 tuner and 2 x DVB-C/T/T2 tuner + 1TB Internal 2.5" Hard drive around ?180 or cheaper if you go for a smaller hard drive

Like i said the Zgemma would be ideal if it could take an Internal drive as it has more Image support, the TM can take an internal drive and is a lot more solidly built in other words does not feel flimsy in the hand ( I own Both )

Choice is yours, there are other brands as well to consider
