If this is genuine then surely the answer is to NOT ring virgin and ask for an upgrade. If they see this test area as a failure to increase sales then whats the point in rolling it out everywhere

Currently on ntl Dublin, we still have most channels, all that are really gone are the sports, movies and pron.

Glasgow is not effected. You have another problem. Try rescanning.

they cant just switch you over without sending your area new cards,,glasgow has no such cards ,,,,,,,,,,,,yet,,,,

i've put up with the virgin service due to the fact of the extra channels i'm getting. soon as they decide to upgrade my area i'm jumping to sky. much better basic package IMHO

im a bit surprised that they,ve decided to start switching channels off weeks after sending out new cards.
i would have thought they would have run N1 and whatever new encryption side by side till all their customers had a new card.

Dont think SKY will be your saving grace either guys,, subscribing to them is not cheap,, there customer service is a lot to be desired for and half time you cant speak to an english speaking person,,,,plus once you got it, you realise its pish

No satellite dish is the way to go, not sky , but i believe it can be a bit complicated and needs a bit of looking into
