Extra Virgin Box problem

Have jut had VM put in on Tv uptairs.
Have got two extra boxes for other rooms (not bought via Virgin). One into daughter room works on basic channels but cant get get all channels we can on main one.
One into sons room box creen comes up with LD - 20 or LD - 30 and cant do anything with it.

If move card out of it into daughters it gives basic channels, if i move main Virgin box up to his room it works so not cables but his box wont work if put onto my telle jut same display message.

Anyone any ideas what is wrong with it and how we sort it.

Pleae tell me in plain easy to follow english I am a really numpty with technology

try unplugging upstairs box,may take a few goes
check all connections,splitters etc,you might even
need a booster (around ?28)

Have done all the unplugging bit still comes up with same readout. Another virgin box works where i want this one so cant be cables or the need for a booster.

This one does exactly the same when it tried on another tele so am presuming is something about the box itself
