hi, its only a matter of time b4 nagra 3 comes our way w,midlands and boxes become useless so my question is do i sell now , i have 2 boxes could i be worrying 4 nothing.

Who knows when it will come.

It might last another 6 months yet.

With all the proposals that vigin media have made to upgrade there digital Tv with more HD and interactive features this could delay the actuall switchover.

Just because a new bunch of cards went out to one UK area does not mean its getting switched off.

Well leeds is 100% turned off at the moment so make your own mind up. When new cards hit your area then they will go off there as well.

Leeds is not 100% off, like in Ireland where N3 happened ages ago you still get loads of channels including espn with the box, you lose the sky sports package and the movie package also the ~~~~.
So imo the box still has a good value it would cost you around ?30+ estimation if you paid for what you still enjoy through Sky.

For me thats good enough not to sell :-) only thing i will miss is the ocassional sport....and for movies never watch em i stream avi etc through my box, and more up to date than Sly movies.

im keeping mine (there linux based so they might be able to hack n3 at some time) as they give me better reception than any freeview box - what will you get for them now anyway - if you get an extra month free tv before it goes off then they kinda pay for themself (again)

I'm in leeds and got my new VM card about 3 weeks ago but did not change it straight away. Lost most channels at the end of last week, sports, docs, kids etc about the only channels left are free sat and ESPN. I finally changed my card last night and the channels available were still the same. Does anyone know what purpose the new cards serve, the channels went without installing the new smart card!

As soon as the card hits the doormat get your boxes sold theres always someone in some area that will buy them. I just hope my area isn't the last then I'll have no one to dump my boxes on
