my guess is by this time next year, the whole u.k. vm network will be running n3. we all new it was coming and i for one have had about 10 years free tv of them(7 years analogue and 3 digital) but for most of that time ive had the basic package, thanks vm

Nag 3 is here in Ireland a wile now , and some of the channells are still on , nag2, so they can use the two , at the sametime , you will find that they will knock the channells off one by one as they did here, and the providers will spend what the need to do this , once they start, they will start changing their cards by post ,as they did here , they are loseing too much money on the pirate box , so thats why the got nar3 and spend so much for it , how many pirate boxes in the uk ?? any one know ........

virgin media start switch to nagra3
virgin media have started onslaught of non legitimate recievers,in leeds they have change movies sports and specialists channels ie asian to nagra3 encryption whilst the rest remain nagravision old encryption bradford huddersfield follow suit febuary 2010.regards this is confirmed so get ready for channel meltdown

will be intresting times ahead lets face it still the old vm boxes just different cards ,and given half of my town in Blackpool hasnt even got cable access yet as they run out of money to even run the cables cant see it being a speedy process in my neck of the woods

Will my FTA receiver be able to get Nagarvision 3 channels?

Maybe.If you are using a legit subscriber box that includes native support for Nagravision 3 conditional access modules, and you pay for your Dish Network or Bell Canada subscription, you should be able to continue using your current receiver to receive all the programming for which you pay to enjoy.
However, if you are using a pirated FTA satellite receiver to "steal" Nagravision 3 programming content, you will definitely be impacted by these changes. Initially, it appears that only boxes capable of Internet connectivity, either with a built in ethernet or wireless solution or with an external dongle device, that allow the receiver to connect to a PC or the Internet, will be able to view N3 encrypted channels. By using Internet Key and/or Card Sharing hardware and software, these FTA receivers will eventually be able to workaround Nagravision 3 encryption by getting key information from a public or private card sharing source, enabling them to decrypt channels legally subscribed to by the real card which is emulated on a server to disseminate keys to interconnected boxes. While many claims have been made from various set top box manufacturers, the final word has not yet been written as it pertains to older and possibly incompatible boxes. Some STB manufacturers have actually announced that add-on hardware will be made available for some models, making them capable of updates over the net, which would give them the ability to use IKS. If you are considering the purchase of a box right now, many suggest waiting to see what happens over the next few weeks, or you may be wasting your money. Watching descrambled Nagravision 3 signals with a modified satellite receiver without paying for it is illegal in most jurisdictions.

There is No NAGRA 3 Hack but NAGRA 3 is possible using CardShare
I cant see why CS on Cable would be any different, as D+, Sky Deutschland,Cyfra+ etc all use Nagra 3 which is available using CS with either a Dreambox or Diablo WiFi.
So any cable box with a cam slot could be used on cable with Nagra3 using Diablo cam.
