    Funcards preprogrammed ??

Ive seen Funcard 4 & 6 for sale on flebay - I asked the seller if they w ill work on Virg M box he said yes.

Does that mean I can just put in the card and Im sorted or (as I think is the case) I have to get a card reader download files and modify my box - in which case how striaghtforward is that..

Finally is it poss to get an already programmed card just for the free to air channels as thats all I want as I got a couple of spare boxes.

      Dont waste your time guys.

Firstly yes a vm box can be modified. It was the only way back in the day. You never touch your own box though thats just crazy.

Modding a box is not that difficult but if its your first it will take time and patience. You extract the boxkey and ird that will pair the box with the card.

However, with the encryption changing to N3 the days of card fixes are gone. If you are in an N3 area no funcard is going to help. If you aren`t in an N3 area the chances are you soon will be.

Save your money the guy is trying to get shot of the cards and is telling you what you want to hear.

The only hope for cable is through CS. Time will tell if that is as successful as it is on the sat scene but it certainly appears to carry more risk.

standdarren you wont get on demand as the modified box has no talkback. When N3 hits you wont get the basic package either. All you will be left with is the free to air which is, in the main, the terrestrial channels.

Do you have the bk and ird from the sammy? Check the bottom of the box or was there a card in the box that you can possibly read?

bk = boxkey you will need it.

Can you read the card or am I right in thinking that you dont have a programmer yet? Does the box work a quick test is all you need to check the box is paired with the card?

Better off taking this to pms gents please. Box is not modified but it is getting there and yes I know we are talking about fun and not the actual box

Why does it carry more risk, if you dont mind me asking?
