Does the new card mean an immediate loss of free channels? My dad is in West Lothian, Scotland. He has a message on channel 999 on his V box telling him smart cards are coming soon, so will he lose all free channels as soon as he inserts it? I don't have a lot of knowledge on the subject! Trying to get my head around Nagra 3.... Are the new cards Nagra 3???? Sorry if I sound like a dumbass!

First of all no he wont lose all the free channels when he inserts it. It is nagra 3. What will happen is VM will support both nagra 1 and nagra 3 for a month or two. This is so they can make sure all legit customers will get the card in time for them to turn off Nagra 1. It has nothing to do with him inserting the new card in his legitimate box. It does mean he hasnt got long though.

Maybe the best hackers reside in the UK,who knows!!

Doesnt matter where they reside.... They want to make money, and there is a lot of people trying to make money from it (do you think if they lived in the UK they wouldnt of heard of N3), but so far it hasnt been hacked.... And for the forseeable future it wont be either!!
